Our programs
Ukrainian language classes for adults and youth (at least 12 years of age, preferably together with a parent) are being offered for the fall, 2021 at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. All classes will be simultaneously in-class and, for distance learners, on-line via ZOOM.
Our Schedule
Beginner – For those who have no or very limited knowledge of the Ukrainian language. Class time will be distributed evenly among reading, conversation and grammar. Students will learn to read the Cyrillic alphabet.
Wednesday evenings, commencing Sept 22: 6:30 – 7:45 pm MDT
Level II – This class will focus on learning vocabulary for common everyday situations, and continuing to study grammar concepts. Students will also learn phrases for self-introduction and simple conversation. Registrants should be familiar with the Ukrainian alphabet and have some vocabulary.
Wednesday evenings, commencing Sept 22, 2020: 7:45 – 9:00 pm MDT
Level III – Students will continue their study of grammar and vocabulary to expand their conversational abilities.
Tuesday evenings, commencing Sept 21: 7:45 — 9:00 pm MDT
Level IV – For more advanced students who have studied the Ukrainian language and grammar for several years, and may have learned Ukrainian in childhood. About 50% of the class-time is Ukrainian conversation.
Tuesday evenings, commencing Sept 21: 6:30 – 7:45 pm MDT
THESE ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY IN-PERSON AND ON-LINE CLASSES. IN-CLASS PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUESTED TO COMPLY WITH COVID PROTOCOLS PREVAILING AT THE TIME (IE MASKING, SANITATION, ETC.)

Adults $140.00; Youth (preferably accompanied by a parent) $80.00
