DESCRIPTION:In the spirit of friendship between two great hockey nations\, The Calgary Canucks invite Team Ukraine for a training camp\, fundraiser and exhibition games against the Alberta All-Star Team. \nThe trip is a crucial opportunity for Ukraine’s best U18 players to prepare for the 2024 IIHF World Championship in Denmark. Because of the war\, this will be the first training camp for many of these promising players who represent the future of Ukrainian hockey. According to Head Coach Oleksandr Bobkin\, “Giving players a chance to shine in this highly competitive environment will help us finalize the roster for the U18 2024 IIHF Championship.” \nTo aid the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation\, Hockey4Ukraine is a special project initiated by TSN sportscaster Gordon Miller with the support of the Calgary Canucks and Hockey Calgary. \n“We are extremely grateful to Gordon and the Calgary Canucks for this invitation\, it means the world to us. We know that this group of young players has a lot of potential\, and this will be a in incredible opportunity to see them play\, come together and learn in this World Championship Camp”\nGeorgii Zubko\, President Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine \nAll proceeds support the Ukrainian Hockey Dream Foundation\, helping Ukrainian children’s hockey schools continue to operate in Central and Western Ukraine.
