DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the Shumka School of Dance 2026–2027 Season. \nThe Shumka School of dance provides classes in Ukrainian regional\, character\, Royal Academy of Dance ballet and Shumka-style training to youth ages three and up. Students receive structured progressive training from accomplished and supportive instructors\, building the essential foundation for youth to discover their artistic selves\, set and achieve goals\, and feel empowered to become future leaders. \nThe 29-Week Season runs from September 12 2026 – May 1\, 2027.

Gene Zwozdesky and his lasting impact on Edmonton and Alberta. \nGene Zwozdesky was an outstanding politician and an active member of Ukrainian-Canadian community. The preview of this documentary is a great opportunity to pay respect to Gene Zwozdesky’s contribution to various fields of the wellbeing of our society\, as well as his input into developing Alberta’s connection to Ukraine. \nEveryone is welcome to join us for this special event where\, in addition to the documentary viewing\, the audience members will get a chance to participate in a Q&A session and stay for a reception afterwards. \nAdmission is free\, but registration is required.
