2016 Hetman Awards


Celebrating the achievements of the Ukrainian Community in Alberta throughout 125 years of Immigration!

Being the 125th anniversary of Ukrainian Immigration into Canada, this years Hetman Awards will be very special. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council’s (UCC-APC) annual Hetman Awards will be awarded as recognition to organizations that led as pioneers and leaders, making a unique, significant and positive impact on the lives of our community in the province of Alberta.The recognitions shall spotlight those who distinguished themselves, and whose voluntary and professional efforts led in helping Ukrainians adapt to life in Alberta, Canada through the formative periods of our 125 year history.  We seek to recognize those who laid the foundations that ensured the success of Ukrainians as a key people in, and a critical component of, this country and province.

The categories for this year’s Hetman Award include:
