Ukrainian Day 2005

Ukrainian Day 2005 was celebrated at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village on August 14, 2005. The day began with services at both the Ukrainian Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox Churches on site. Pictured here are members of both churches performing a memorial service in memory of Ukrainian Veterans of War at the Royal Canadian Legion Monument.

Mrs. Catherine Chichak, Past President of the UCC-APC presents Mr. Dave Broda with the Luchkovich Award for his outstanding public service in the Provincial Government.

Ron Cahute and Burya with Ihor Baczynskyj were special guests of this year's Ukrainian Day. Along with performing, Ron and Ihor entertained the crowd as guest Masters of Ceremonies for the day.

Oles Lazurko and Mykola Bilash of the duo "Hrym" performed to the delight of the audience.

Nadiya Ukrainian Choreographic Ensemble and Trembita Folk Dance Ensemble are shown here performing "Golden Grain of the Prairies".
