SUSK Alumni Reunion Banquet & Congress Zabava

| The Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union (SUSK) is pleased to announce that their 52nd National Congress will be held on the weekend of February 12-14, 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It’s first Congress in Western Canada in over a Decade. Student delegates from across Canada and abroad are expected to attend the three-day event, in order to forge new coordinated directions for all local Ukrainian student organizations, and develop networking opportunities with the greater community. Historically, students have always been the proponents of change, as each new generation critically re-evaluates the previous generation’s faults and successes. Each generation faces new challenges. The causes may not be as palpable as for previous generations, for Ukraine is now an independent country, but that does not mean it is much less vulnerable than before. SUSK’s main objectives are to provide wide support for each individual Ukrainian Student Organizations’ activities in various Canadian universities, promote co-operation between clubs and mobilize Ukrainian students in Canada when major issues arise. SUSK works in the general interest of the entire community and therefore deserves community support. Regardless if you are Orthodox or Catholic, a Plastun or CYMivets, CYMKivets a Canadian born Ukrainian or Ukrainian immigrant, everyone from this community at one point or another was, is or will be a student. We are planning an evening to honour SUSK, its current members and more importantly its alumnus’s. This banquet will celebrate SUSK and its achievements past, present and future as well as provide a wonderful occasion for a convivial evening with friends, members of SUSK, and the greater Ukrainian Canadian community. As well as honouring SUSK alumnist, the dinner will provide significant funding in support of SUSK. For those who attend the dinner, income tax receipts will be issued for all contributions. If you are unable to attend the dinner but would like to contribute to SUSK, you will receive a tax receipt for the full amount of your donation. All donations to SUSK received before February 1st, 2010 will be acknowledged in the evening’s program as well as the 52nd SUSK National Congress issue of “Student”. Please join us as we celebrate SUSK for what it has been, what it is and what we strive for it to become.
