DEAR ROGERS, WORLD FM Executive:

I am extremely disappointed in the decision by WorldFM Edmonton - 101.7 FM to shorten the Ukrainian radio program. This particular show was a flagship program of this station from the very beginnings of CKER Radio. Today, as it was then, the Ukrainian community is a vital part of this city - the amount of activity and news generated in and by our community is significant.

The quality of the Ukrainian program has suffered greatly with the reduced time currently allowed - it is impossible to properly profile the news and events of the largest municipal Ukrainian Community in Canada the span of five hours per week. As the only major multicultural radio station in the Edmonton region, it should be the mandate of WorldFM to provide quality programming. Shortening airtime does not allow for this to happen.

As one of your listeners, I urge you to increase the allotted time for the Ukrainian radio program!

YES! I support this petition!
